About Samantha
From a little girl who was told she would never speak to an International public speaker. Samantha Sewell has made her journey, her struggles, her apraxia into a beacon of hope. Samantha, born with Apraxia struggled in school with bullying and her grades. Sewell was often told that she would not graduate with the “regular” diploma and that she may never be able to communicate like everyone else. In the ninth grade, Sewell was verbally abused by a teacher, being told by this teacher every day that she was retarded, and constantly separated from the rest of the class. Sewell developed Depression and Anxiety because of this. In 2015 Sewell received a message on her Instagram page, encouraging her to compete in a provincial pageant. Eventually, Sewell decided to try for the title, and to her shock, she won the title that year. Soon after winning the title Sewell discovered the crown was powerful. People listened to her when she wore it. Now years after entering pageantry Sewell has spoken in 2 countries, 8 USA states, and 4 Canadian provinces and has reached people worldwide with her message of Anti Bullying and Inclusion for all. Sewell has become an advocate for Bullying, Inclusion, and Apraxia, educating the world on the after-effects of bullying and the signs of current bullying, and mental health. In 2022 Sewell opened an inclusive Preschool and Childcare centre Raising Stars Preschool Ltd. To create a more inclusive education journey for local children!
